The Province of Tarlac celebrated the 141st Anniversary of the Birth of Tarlac’s Hero, General Francisco Makabulos.

Vice Governor Pearl Pacada, along with PGT and Tarlac City Officials and the PNP, joined together in the commemoration of the birth of Leader of the Revolt in Tarlac. Born in La Paz on September 17, 1871, Francisco Makabulos, was the first patriot in Tarlac who joined the Katipunan and was appointed as one of the brigadier generals of the Central Luzon area by General Aguinaldo.

The event, held on September 17, 2012 at Camp Macabulos had the over-all theme “Piyesta sa Camp Macabulos, Sebisyo sa mga Tarlaqueños” which was highlighted by the Recognition of Outstanding Tarlaqueños who have contributed in peace and order. During the celebration, a wreath laying ceremony was also conducted as a show of honor and respect to the bravery of General Makabulos.

Vice Governor Pearl shared her hopes that we Tarlaqueños will always keep in our hearts the sacrifices of General Makabulos and that we will live by the passion and the love that he has for the Province of Tarlac.
