The SM City Tarlac officially ushered in the Yuletide season during the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held last November 10, 2012 and the Christmas merriment gets even more joyful as Vice Governor Pearl Pacada joins the said celebration.

The Mother of the Province, Vice GOVERNOR Pearl participated in the lighting of the mall’s massive dazzling Christmas tree, adorned in lights, stars and balls. She also joined the SM City Tarlac Managers and heads on hanging SM’s “Bears of Joy” in the gigantic tree.

SM’s “Bears of Joy” project aims to strengthen the spirit of sharing, where shoppers get to buy two cuddly teddy bears for only P100, one to keep and the other to pin on a Christmas tree to be collected after the holidays and shared with less fortunate children.

One of the highlights of the event was the chance to meet and greet Santa Claus where the kids and the kids at heart got the chance to greet Santa in person.

Vice Governor Pearl Pacada shares that “true meaning of Christmas is to give the most precious gifts to our loved ones, the gift of time, peace, love and service”.
